F.A.Q.s

  • Yes, only overnight guests at Silk Springs have access to the hot springs. We hope to be able to offer spa-only options in the future.

  • There is a saltwater pool, in-ground jacuzzi, steam shower, and outdoor soaking tubs for both hot soaks and cold plunges.

  • Our natural mineral water comes from an ancient aquifer several hundred feet below the surface.

It is odorless without the sulphur commonly associated with natural hot springs. It contains the anti-inflammatory mineral zinc, among other elements.

  • Silk Springs is an off-grid, sustainable property that promotes clean water. We are fully operational on solar power. Our green drainage system directly recycles water from the tubs and returns every drop to the earth after each use, where it will return to the original aquifer.

In comparison, only 66% of global household wastewater flows are collected for treatment through machinery, and only a portion of that percentage is suitable for human re-use.

  • Both refer to bodies of water brought to the Earth’s surface from naturally-occurring underground basins. Hot springs are typically geothermally heated while mineral springs produce hard water with various minerals.

Silk Springs is a manmade mineral hot springs. The water is brought to the surface through a well from a natural aquifer, so while the method in which it is accessed is manmade, the source is as organic and pristine as any natural spring.
